JVC Everio GZ-MG275 (HDD)

The GZ-MG275 is among the four well known Everio "G" cams introduced by JVC that make recordings to wide screen DVD-quality video onto its inner HDD (Hard Disk Drive) in addition to an SD card slot for 2 MP JPEG pictures.

The fresh series of Everio G HDD camcorders presented by JVC appears and experiences much same to the previous year's camcorders, but nearer review discloses one or two dissimilarities, not just to their external appearing but also to functioning. In spite of both Sony and Panasonic having newly presented camcorders that make recording not to videotape or discs but to Very small inner HDDs (hard disk drives).

JVC still dominates by a remarkable series of Everio G cameras that present many hrs of DVD-quality video recording, thus reducing the requirement for the operator to transfer the clips to a pc or save to a DVD in urgency. What's more, the Everio GZ-MG275 is idealistic for the users searching a prompt and comfortable procedure of recording home video clips and digital images gives thanks to its 40GB(gigabyte) inner HDD (hard disk drive) and also its SD memory card expansion slot. Here's what SimplyDV meant it.

First impressions

Standing on a number three in a series of four newly introduced Everio G camcorders presented by JVC, the MG-GZ275 acquires numerous of the design characteristics of those in its introducing 2006 array, so to impart it some unique characteristics, the cam has been featured by a more noticeable 2-tone paint job; the physical structure now has a grey visual aspect and slenderly slicker streaks because of connecters now being shifted off-board to a split docking/charging position. The figure is much likened to the former models, although we are now provided a functional shutter lens cover (see image above - the button coming out between the lens and the Liquid crystal display screen) which signifies that we will no more miss the lens cover! Although it does not feature a viewfinder as detected on numerous admired camcorders, the Everio’s 2.7inch wide screen color Liquid crystal display screen is more comfortable for most consumers, and it is offered complete with necessary functioning commands on the side are of the Liquid crystal display frame itself.

Features

Gives thanks to the manner the MG275 is fabricated, it is very comfortable for a video freshman to carry it up and be recording family videos within instants, but for all those users who desire a little more command it is comfortable to take manual choices for focusing and white balance (indoor/ exterior color settings) adjustments. What's especially functional is the internalization of functioning controls - Videocassette recorder-style playback commands and also the navigation / operation control stick practiced to do manual settings - on the Liquid crystal display frames itself. With it, it is doable not only to choose options before pushing the Record button but also to fiddle with the aperture, shutter speed rate or white balance while really making record, gives thanks to on-screen computer graphic "head-up" presentations. And the 10x zoom is inspiring, also – even if the 300x digital zoom is extra because of the resulting blockish pictures it develops.

The GZ-MG275 is available in the market with a wireless remote control system, which is very useful while choosing or replay-listing video clips for AV output to a Television set or complete recorder – just choose the thumbnail standing for the video clip (or range of clips) and press the Play button. It is all very much more comfortable than transferring videotapes in a conventional tape-based camcorder!

So as to save recordings from damage as a result of inadvertent dropping of the camcorder, the Everio’s G-Sensor will securely close down the little 1.8inch inner hard disk system before it touches the ground and saving the video recordings. If, naturally, you are shooting a fairground ride you can overrule this utility to save the G-Sensor kicking in and insure stable recording.
